I had bought a S-350L in 2009.
There were many sub-standard parts that were required to be replaced much earlier than the time it usally comes up for replacement.

On 2 separate occasions (12 months apart) the fuel indicator has failed & i’ve been stuck in the middle of the road with and empty tank and a fuel gauge reading as 1/2 full.

The dealer where I send it for servicing has tried to stick me with a big bill for the same, but after writing to MB india they waived it off. What I don’t understand is why must I do all this gadha majuri for a fault that should be owned up and fixed by the company.

On the second occasion one of the airmatic struts failed (which should not happen ever). Again the dealer tried to charge me for it citing that the 2+1 yrs warranty expired 2 months ago! This time I refused to pay again & made the dealer follow up with MB which promptly made the changes without charge.

I own cars of all the 3 German auto companies and find MB to be the worst of the worst as far as after sales goes.
